What I like to do is to take the book out of the library first, glance over and try a recipe. I tried Black & Tan cake on page 82-83 for a Christmas Party last week. What a show stopper! Sweet Maria's made me look really good. I have put this book on my Christmas list. Hope Santa is checking my list twice.
This book is a keeper. For those of us who know the difference . Highly recommend along with a visit to her bakery if you are In Connecticut.
I had been looking to buy this book for a long time but it is out of print. I ordered a used one which was in excellent condition - looked like it had never been used. Delivery was quick and I am very happy to have this book in my collection.
